 Airport Training
Transportation Security Regulations Part 1542 require that each commercial service airport have a trained Airport Security Coordinator (ASC). New FAR Part 139 regulations require that operations personnel undergo re-currency training every year.
In 2004, Leading Edge Strategies completed the compilation of the first practical aviation security modules to accompany a three-day training program. It will also be available to educational institutions (contact AAAE). The program is called ACE-Security and is taught through AAAE as part of their Airport Certified Employee program. The program is a comprehensive review of security regulations and best practices.
