Jeffrey C. Price, Principal

Jeff Price holds a graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in adult learning and has over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry.

Mr. Price was the manager of Jefferson County Airport, Colorado’s fourth busiest airport, and was also the assistant security director for Denver International Airport from 1994 – 1998.

He has been a consultant and trainer in the industry since 2002, and is also the national trainer for Airport Security Coordinators for the American Association of Airport Executives and the developer of the Airport Certified Employee-Security course.

Mr. Price is also a faculty member in the Aviation and Aerospace Science Department at the Metropolitan State College of Denver.

In 2008, Leading Edge Strategies Principal Jeff Price completed Practical Aviation Security; a source that is the industry “must have “ book. Already a seasoned and experienced commercial airport security coordinator and general aviation airport manager, Price’s research took him to dozens of airports and airlines throughout the U.S. and the world.

Research trips to Israel, London, Ireland and Canada, plus thousands of hours of research and countless interviews, were combined with the guiding hand of his co-author, Dr. Jeffrey S. Forrest, Department Chair of Aviation and Aerospace Science at the Metropolitan State College of Denver, to produce a comprehensive, yet easy-to-understand field manual for aviation security practitioners.
